Who I Am vs. Who You See

Social media is a curated gallery of moments, isn’t it? A glimpse of my life through the lens I choose to show you. But what’s beyond the frame? That’s where the real story is—one I don’t often share.

I am so many things that aren’t captured in a photo, caption, or story. I am complex, layered, and constantly evolving. Those who know me, even those close to me, only know a version of me. It’s a version I’ve allowed them to see, shaped by time, experiences, and the walls I’ve built over the years.

You may know my name, recognize the highlights of my journey, and maybe even resonate with some of my struggles. But the truth is, the deeper parts of me—the raw, unfiltered, vulnerable pieces—remain hidden. Vulnerability feels too risky, too exposed, too unsafe. It’s like standing in the middle of a storm without a coat, hoping the world will be kind enough not to drench you.

I’ve learned to protect myself. My walls are high, built brick by brick from every heartbreak, betrayal, and lesson life has handed me. I carry the weight of my full self, but I don’t often show the cracks or the places where light sneaks through.

For most of you, I’m a mosaic of shared moments and carefully crafted posts. And I’ll admit, it’s easier that way. There’s safety in controlling what’s seen, in choosing what parts of my soul to reveal. But for the very few who’ve climbed those walls, who’ve seen the messy, raw, unedited version of me—I see you. You’ve chosen to stay, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.

So, if you’re reading this and wondering who I really am, know this: I am far more than what you see online. I am much more than the version I show the world. And while I may not always let you in, I promise I’m still here—layered, human, and ever-evolving.
